If there is anything guaranteed to have you feeling slinky and supple it's a good hip-releasing yoga sequence. This Thursday we will be bringing our focus into our hips. Our hips, being a ball and socket joint have an amazing range of motion but due to a sedentary lifestyle they are not often fully utilized .
Hip stretches can help correct spine and pelvic misalignment and relieve back pain , soreness and general stiffness. Particularly beneficial for those who's daily life involves lots of desk-time, slouched couch-time and seated car-time.
On a much deeper level, releasing tension in the hips can have a dramatic effect on the mind. As the connective tissue is extremely dense around the hips it can become a sneaky storage space for
trauma and stress accumulated over a lifetime.
