As you probably know, the moon and it's cycles influence our mind and body, from the mood we are in to our quality of sleep. Our yoga practice can teach us how to harness this energy to our advantage.
As this week's class lands on this month's full moon I have decided to honour this with a special 'Moon Salutation' practice.
A full moon is one of the most exciting lunar cycles because it represents a boost in energy , a time to release and honour what we have created since the new moon.
Full moons are great gateways to create change in your life and are powerful tools for letting go of unwanted energy, cleansing and releasing what no longer serves us. As our emotions are brought to the light we are able to see them more clearly therefore able to work with them.
Practising our yoga during a full moon and aligning your energy with this lunar phase will allow you to feel grounded and fulfilled. The evening is the best time to practise and this will allow you to reap the benefits as we wind down before bed.
