Learn to live your natural life

' These words, wild and woman, cause women to remember who they are and what they are about. They create a metaphor to describe the force which funds all females. They personify a force that women cannot live without'

my story

find freedom yoga 2.jpg

I grew up in the beautiful English countryside . As a child I ran in fields of grass tall enough to hide away for hours . I explored the woodlands listening to the whispers and the spirits of my world and spent my days amongst the majestic oaks , being held in the safety of their branches observing the world below me.

My depth of vision grew here like the roots through the woodland floor. As I entered the 'system' life became marred by achievements, goals and disempowerment my natural spirit was suppressed. 'Doing' replaced 'Being'. That was until fate threw me back into nature and into the wild .....

It was through the trauma of a serious neck injury suffered during a riding accident as a teenager that led me to yoga and returned me to my true spirit. I re-discovered the immense healing powers of the body-mind. And this is what led me to a deep and lifelong journey through the layers of the human experience. I had begun to teach myself again how to be a healer.

Packing my bags and moving to Koh Phangan ,'The Crystal Island', in The Gulf of Thailand to convalesce led to a chance meeting with my first yoga teacher. She offered to show me how to heal through this ancient practice. I was reminded how life breathes through you when you are in movement and through yoga discovered the healing powers of the body-mind.

I found solace in yoga , in the simplicity of breath and movement and the healing powers of this magical island. Once again I walked barefoot and began to rediscover the joy of Being.

For nearly a decade I travelled throughout South East Asia, India and Australia, seeking adventure and yoga, attending workshops and classes with yoga teachers from round the globe. Deepening my knowledge of yoga and healing my body and soul.

Returning to the UK for motherhood I began teaching yoga around the Gloucestershire area. Becoming involved with government initiatives to bring yoga to the community offering free yoga classes to those who face financial and social barriers.

Over the last twenty years I have led classes and workshops through the Gloucestershire area . Holding space at retreats and wellness days in my local community, Thailand, Sri Lanka, Zanzibar and Morocco.

I also study Ayurveda , the science of self healing and a sister science to yoga, and plant medicine.  Understanding herbs and plants around us as our natural companions. Learning how nature offers all the healing we need and teaching alternative ways to treat chronic dis-ease and ailments.

Through my yoga I specialises in womens health , particularly for women in the perimenopause and menopause stages of their life and can offer advice on how to approach these changes in a natural , holistic way that is in harmony with our nature.

My aim is to empower women of all ages to connect with their inner wisdom and divine feminine to be the very best version of themselves.

Besides my commitment to teaching yoga , I am an artist and designer and run a ceramic manufacturing company in the beautiful Cotswold countryside UK.
